Solo (single-driver) and Shared (2-driver) weekly rates are pulled directly from the office. Adding a second driver to a Medallion-only lease is +$75/wk. Most drivers start with us on a weekly lease. A smaller group, over time, decides to own their medallion. We handle both, and we tell you the numbers before you sign anything.

How much can I really earn?
Drivers working 45–55 hours a week typically clear $950–$1,400 after their weekly lease. Bigger weeks push higher. Slower weeks or fewer hours push lower. Hybrid fuel savings add $80–120 per week versus a gas car. Use the earnings explorer above to see the math at your hour level.
What's included in the weekly lease?
Medallion, vehicle, commercial taxi insurance, TLC registration and compliance fees, scheduled inspections, and basic maintenance. You cover fuel and your personal hack license fees. Everything in writing before you sign.
Do I need a hack license already?
Ideally yes — you need the TLC hack license to legally drive. If yours is in application, apply anyway. We'll keep your file warm and start you the day it's approved.
Can I pick my schedule?
Yes. Single-shift (you drive only) or multi-shift (shared with another driver) leases available. We'll match you to the hours you want.
Can I eventually own a medallion?
Yes — we sell medallions too. Many of our longest-running drivers transition to ownership. See the ownership section above for details, or call us once you've driven with us for a while.
Earnings figures are based on anonymized driver averages over the last 12 months for drivers meeting or exceeding 45 weekly hours on our lease program. Individual results vary with hours driven, shift selection, weather, and seasonality. Not a guarantee of earnings. Ownership financing terms are set by third-party lenders; S&R Medallion does not provide loans directly.
